TRavel Soccer expectations & Cost

Expectations

Registration Fee - $110

 People often wonder how much of a commitment travel soccer requires, so we have created the following talking points to help address your questions:


  • MUSC participates in a fall and spring season each year
  • There currently are not any local leagues to play in so we travel to weekend tournaments in Michigan and Wisconsin
  • The fall season is from August through October and we typically play in 2 tournaments
  • The spring season is from May through June and we typically play in 3 tournaments
  • During the winter we have optional gym times for training purposes and in some years we compete in the Dome Tournament in Marquette
  • Most teams practice 2-3 days per week during the season
  • Team dues average between $350-450 per year and that covers your tournament registration costs and other team/coaching fees
  • Uniforms cost around $150 to purchase and are used for two seasons
  • The only other expenses are related to traveling to tournaments (hotels + fuel + food) and equipment (cleats + shin guards)

Registration for travel soccer is done through our secure site using the following payment options: Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or Check.  Following the completion of this registration, you will see a $110 charge on your account as SSA Registration Fee. Registration is only open in June before the fall season starts.

Team Dues

  • Team dues average between $350-450 per year and that covers your tournament registration costs and other team/coaching fees
  • The only other expenses are related to traveling to tournaments (hotels + fuel + food) and equipment (cleats + shin guards) 


The dues for each travel soccer team will vary depending on the amount of players on the team and the fundraising each team completes. Dues will go towards the following:

  • Tournaments
  • Referee Fees
  • Practice Fields
  • Winter Gym Space
  • Coaching Fees

We try and get a couple seasons out of our uniforms, so most players tend to size up. Standard kit includes a home & away jersey, a pair of game shorts, and a pair of socks. Other items available include:

  • Game bag
  • Goalie jersey
  • Warm-ups
  • Joggers
  • Jogger shorts
  • Rain Jacket


Uniforms are available for ordering at the start of the fall and spring seasons.
